Sync is not backup
If a file in the cloud is overwritten or encrypted by ransomware, that change can sync everywhere. Version history and recycle bins help sometimes — they do not guarantee recovery of whole endpoints or retention that matches your requirement.
Backup means separate copies, tested restore, and clear ownership of who runs recovery.
What Floor ICT Elite adds
Elite includes managed endpoint backup on top of Advanced (antivirus/ransomware protection, joiner/leaver, cloud admin, Academy security). Essential and Advanced cover monitoring and support; managed endpoint backup is explicitly Elite.
Cloud licences (Google Workspace / Microsoft 365) stay separate. Backup of the cloud tenant itself needs its own agreement — raise that in intake if you need tenant backup.

What to decide beyond “we are in the cloud”
Define what is critical (endpoints, mail, shared drives), how far back you need to go (retention), and who may start a restore. Without that, “we are in the cloud” is a feeling, not a plan.
Ransomware and the sync trap
If malware encrypts synced files, damage can spread widely. Endpoint protection (from Advanced) plus separate backup (Elite) is a common pairing: prevent where you can, recover where you must.
