What an MSP actually does

An MSP keeps endpoints and your chosen cloud (at Floor ICT: Google Workspace or Microsoft 365) under management. You raise incidents via a ticket portal. Patching, monitoring and standard admin follow the package level you choose.

Floor ICT uses named-user packages (Essential, Advanced, Elite). Google or Microsoft licences are billed separately; they are not included in the MSP fee.

When it fits

An MSP typically fits when:

  • you want IT taken off your plate from roughly five people up;
  • you prefer predictable cost over ad-hoc hours;
  • you want one owner for workplace and mail;
  • Academy (how-to and security awareness) alongside reduces repeat support questions.

Versus “call IT when something breaks”

Break/fix support reacts to incidents. An MSP also keeps maintenance and monitoring running, so you are not only calling when work already stopped. Response stays within business hours per your package SLA — not a phone-based 24/7 helpdesk.

What Essential, Advanced and Elite add

Essential: ticket portal, remote help, Windows patching, monitoring. Advanced (common starting point): plus antivirus/ransomware protection, joiner/leaver, cloud admin and Academy security. Elite: plus managed endpoint backup and extra endpoint hardening.

What you still own

You remain owner of your data and decisions. Floor ICT manages; you decide on tools, budget and access. Incidents go through the portal — not a public support inbox.
